You are a Pakistani student in a foreign country? You miss your home and family and you want to be able to call them any time you want? But how can you afford that?
Fortunately, nowadays there are a lot of cheap opportunities to make an international call. If you run a search on the Internet, you will see how many companies there are on the market, all offering services for talking abroad. Not only this, but there are a lot of computer technologies, such as Skype, which allow you not only to talk to your dearest ones, but also to see them. Of, course, you must have a certain hardware and stable Internet connection to use Skype.
There are also other opportunities for cheap calls, such as calling cards, VoIP technologies and a few others, but they do not allow you to see the person on the other side of the line, like Skype.
Homesickness is a hard-to-live-with feeling. It can really drive you crazy, if you don't contact your relatives for a long time. That is why people have invented and keep on inventing new ways for communication. In my opinion, they should invent a new faster way for travelling, so that we can communicate only face to face. Imagine how nice it will be to wake up in Pakistan, to go to the university in Paris, and to return to Pakistan in the evening. If that was the reality there wouldn't be any need of technologies for international calls.
